It is part of the Prinzessinnen-Höfe, a courtyard ensemble originally built between 1910 and 1919 as residential and commercial buildings. After heavy damage in the Second World War, the complex was modernised and extended in 2020: the two remaining five- and six-storey buildings were brought up to a contemporary standard, and a new six-storey building was added on the street side, combining a solid ground-floor base with a glass façade above.
