About the area
Quality stands the test of time. Instantly recognisable for its curved gable and palace-like first floor balcony, the grand house at Herengracht 54 was built in by the merchant Balthasar Coymans in 1615. Practical as well as imposing, the property is 14 metres wide, blessed with an abundance of light from its huge windows and, remarkably for a canal house, it is rated A for its excellent energy efficiency. Either side of the impressive reception area, a welcoming coffee bar and a sizeable board room overlook the canal. A modern extension at the back of the building provides ample office space, and an elevator for convenience.
Herengracht 54 has excellent transport credentials. Public parking is available on the street in front of the building, and the Nieuwezijds Kolk tram stop is just around the corner, with direct links to Amsterdam Centraal, Amstel and Amsterdam RAI and railway and Metro stations.
